Privacy policy

This policy explains what DirtWatts, operated by [Legal entity name], collects, why, and your choices. We collect as little as we can and never sell personal data.

What we collect

• Early access list: your email, optionally your trainer model, which plan interested you and how you found us (for example a campaign tag).
• Account: your email, sign-in provider (email link or Google), display name, units and rider profile: weight, FTP and heart rate settings. Weight and FTP drive the physics and training zones.
• Rides: during a ride, trainer and heart rate data stay in your browser. When ride history launches, we'll store ride summaries and FIT files in your account.
• Payments: handled by Paddle as merchant of record. We receive your subscription status and country, not your card details.
• Technical: error reports (browser, device, the error) to fix crashes, and basic server logs.

Why

To run your account and rides (contract), to email you about early access, your account and billing (contract and legitimate interest), and to keep the service working and secure (legitimate interest). Marketing emails go out only with your consent, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

Who processes it

• Supabase: accounts and database.
• Cloudflare: website hosting and file delivery.
• Paddle: payments, tax and invoices.
• Resend: sign-in and account emails.
• Sentry: error reports.
• Strava, only if you connect it once that feature launches.

Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep account data while your account exists, and delete it within 30 days of account deletion, except billing records we must keep. You can leave the early access list at any time from any email or by writing to us.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict processing, by emailing privacy@dirtwatts.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies and storage

We use browser storage only to keep you signed in and remember your settings (units, graphics, HUD layout). We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Children

DirtWatts isn't for children under 16.

We'll post changes here and email account holders about significant ones.
