DirtWatts and Biketerra: questions
Can I ride mountain bike trails on Biketerra?
Biketerra builds 3D routes from map data and will draw any route you upload, but it doesn't advertise trail surfaces or an MTB physics model. DirtWatts is built only for mountain bike trails: lidar terrain, surfaces that change resistance, and a rider model fitted on dirt.
Both run in the browser. What is different?
Both use Web Bluetooth in Chrome or Edge, so neither needs an install on a computer. Biketerra covers a huge range of routes. DirtWatts rebuilds a smaller library of real trails by hand, from lidar.
